1. What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

While massage techniques are used to manually help opening and mobilizing joints, tissues and circulation as an “outside in” approach, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy could also be called Holistic Manual Medicine or Neurodynamics. In this approach the practitioner looks at the wholeness of a person, treating with a subtle touch the underlying cause of the problem and supports the bodies innate intelligence from the “inside out”. It is complementary to the traditional medical approach and can be used safely in acute and chronic conditions. It especially has been proven to be helpful for people whose symptoms have not responded to other methods.

2. What can I expect in a session? How does it work?

Each treatment usually begins with a personal check-in and a body assessment. Depending on the direction of the session, during the hands-on treatment, you are lying either fully or partially clothed on a massage table.

Often there is a dialogue during a treatment as it supports the process or there can be deep periods of stillness that allow for shifts in body and mind. No two sessions are alike and the “inherent treatment plan” will determine the flow.

3. What conditions does Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy address?

4. How can I prepare for a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy session?

Please wear comfortable clothes without constraints of a belt or jewellery, eat lightly and be ready to rest. Turning off your cell phone while here is highly appreciated, so you can be uninterrupted from your everyday life. Sometimes it can be a good idea to plan for some downtime after a session to allow the subtle benefits of the work to integrate fully. Find your own speed to reconnect with your environment afterwards and increase your water intake as your body requires. Stabilization is important for our nervous system to restore and settle with this new information. This experience might be subtle or it can be truly life-changing.

5. Are there any conditions for which Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy should not be used?

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy would not be recommended in a case of severe bleeding disorder or acute brain aneurysm (bulging brain vessel).

6. Is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy safe during pregnancy?

Yes. In fact, the treatment can be of enormous benefit for mum, baby and the birthing process itself in many invisible but powerful ways. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is suitable for people of all ages, including babies, children and the elderly.

7. What are the benefits of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy treats the underlying causes of stress that can lead to acute & chronic disease.

We often forget that true healing comes from the cellular intelligence within us. This is a pain and drug free way of healing. If you manage to catch yourself early when overwhelmed, with the help of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy fluidity and energy in the body can be restored and move more freely.

8. How many Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy sessions do I need?

A session may last for 60 or 90 minutes. It is important to note that while a single session can have noticeable effects, it often takes multiple sessions to achieve the results you are seeking. The number of treatments for your condition depends on the nature of your healing process and your intention. I am happy to discuss this with you in person.

This work supports vibrant aliveness and may be a great help to enhance and further deepen an optimal quality of life.
